Advantages of silicone rubber
Depending on its composition, a roller coating manufactured from silicone rubber has very good dynamic properties. In addition, it is resistant to oil, grease and solvents, very abrasion-resistant and has a high resilience. Grades with FDA-approved components may also be available.
The high temperature range of silicone rubber is a significant advantage. Silicone is suitable for use in a temperature range between -55°C and +210°C because its mechanical properties hardly change over the entire temperature range (special grades up to +250°C or even -100°C).
Its properties also make silicone attractive for film production and finishing, as the material is extremely resistant to ozone.
